Concrete covers a very wide area of products, activities and influence in the world. Undeniably, it generates enormous interest. That makes a lot of us want to know more about it.  Just try it: if you type the word “concrete” into the Google search engine, you will get around 768 million results.

As with anything with mass appeal, it is sometimes difficult to choose reliable and interesting content. So, we are going to share 12 websites to go to if you want to have verified information about everything that is at the forefront of the world of concrete.

This selection only includes international blogs and websites in English. In a later post, we will present a list of the 12 most important sites in Spanish.

KRYTON is a company based in Vancouver (Canada) that manufactures products for the repair and maintenance of concrete structures. Its blog aims to become one of the benchmarks in the construction industry, and is dedicated to professionals in the sector.

A Belgian blog in English dedicated to concrete architecture in Europe. This blog is especially suitable for professionals and projects that are looking for creative, artistic and innovative references in the field of concrete construction.

This Berlin website has a clear social vocation and its posts focus on social housing, rehabilitation and sustainability of architecture made with concrete.

  1. NEW MEXICO READY MIX

An American company dedicated to the sale of cement, gravel, sand and concrete since 1959. Its activity covers all areas of production, from domestic works to large construction projects. NM Ready Mix puts its experience to good use with an interesting blog on concrete materials, in particular sands and gravels.

CONCRETE UPRISING is a North Carolina-based company specialising in the repair and levelling of concrete structures. It aims to be the go-to site when browsers are looking for a solution to repair damage, or perform the correct maintenance on parts and surfaces made with concrete.

This Canadian company based in Toronto is characterised by its quality of service and orientation towards customer satisfaction. Its blog is mainly focused on at-home concrete users: tips for patio maintenance, swimming pools, etc.

The British firm specialises in high-strength reinforced concrete. It does not neglect small domestic consumers, and its blog is full of useful tips for carrying out and maintaining concrete works.

It has an international vocation and seeks to become the benchmark for innovative concrete structures that meet the strictest requirements, especially in terms of safety. This blog is more focused on large civil works and infrastructures.

WELLS CONCRETE is a Minnesota-based company that covers several areas, from design and fabrication to installation of precast concrete. Its blog has been continuously updated since 2016.

  1. ACI AMERICAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE

Since its foundation in 1904, the AMERICAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE has become an internationally recognised authority in three areas: the establishment and extension of international standards, technical resources and training. The topics in concrete section of its website is an extensive glossary that leads to all kinds of resources on each topic (videos, news, research articles, etc.) that anyone involved in concrete should consult.

The GCCA aims to link all people, institutions and companies related to concrete around a common vision that prioritises sustainable development in its various aspects: economic, ecological and social. Their website has areas where we can find information on issues such as biodiversity, sustainability and anti-COVID measures, and an updated news directory to stay up to speed with all the latest news from the world of concrete.
